Synergy Center makes carefully considered investments in building and renovating homes in geographical areas where there is either an established, or an emerging market for affordable housing, typically for home buyers whose incomes range between 80–140% of median income.
As a non-profit organization, Synergy Center buyers registered through its partnership with the Palm Beach County Department of Housing and Sustainability, earn priority "front of the line" status regarding eligibility for State Housing Initiative Program (SHIP) funds. SHIP dollars may be used to fund emergency repairs, new construction, rehabilitation, down payment and closing cost assistance, impact fees, construction and gap financing, mortgage buy-downs, acquisition of property for affordable housing, matching dollars for federal housing grants and programs, and home-ownership counseling.
As a charitable non-profit, Synergy Center is eligible for donations of land and properties as well as discounted bank-owned properties and seeks mutually beneficial partnerships and collaborations which contribute to success in achieving our affordable housing mission.
